Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Slyseed, Inc. (“Braket”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Braket platform at braket.gg, our staging environment at staging.braket.gg, and the tournament sites we host on *.braket.gg subdomains (together, the “Service”).

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by Slyseed, Inc. If you have any question about this policy or about how your data is handled, contact us at privacy@braket.gg or through the form on our contact page.

2. Information we collect

Account & identity

Braket does not use passwords. You sign in through an external identity provider or an email link. Depending on the method you choose, we receive and store:

• Steam (OpenID): your Steam ID, persona (display) name, and avatar image URL.
• Battle.net, Epic Games, or Riot Games (OAuth / OpenID Connect): the account identifier and display name that provider returns for the basic-profile scope. We do not receive your password.
• Email sign-in: the email address you enter to receive a one-time sign-in link.

We use this to create and identify your account and to display your name and avatar to other participants.

Tournament activity

When you register for and play in tournaments we store your registrations, check-ins, reported and confirmed match results, standings, brackets, and any trophies or placements earned. This information is visible to other participants and organizers as part of running the competition.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; Stripe handles card data directly. We keep records of which plan an account holds and the associated transaction identifiers. During the open beta, plans are provided free of charge.

Communications

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit so we can reply. Transactional emails (such as sign-in links) are sent through our email provider.

Technical data

Like most websites, our servers automatically log your IP address, browser user-agent, and the pages you request, for security, abuse-prevention, and debugging. We set a small number of cookies described in Section 6.

Streaming & casting

If you connect a streaming account (for example Twitch) to cast or watch matches, we store the identifiers needed to link that account to your Braket profile.

3. How we use your information

• To operate the Service: authenticate you, run tournaments, compute standings, and grant trophies.
• To communicate with you: sign-in links, service notices, and replies to your enquiries.
• To process subscriptions and payments where applicable.
• To keep the Service secure: detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and technical problems.
• To comply with our legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for), our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Service), consent (where you provide it, e.g. optional integrations), and legal obligation where required.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With other users and organizers, to the extent required to run a public competition (your display name, avatar, and results).
• With service providers that operate the Service on our behalf: our hosting and infrastructure provider (Amazon Web Services), our payment processor (Stripe), our email delivery provider, and the identity providers you choose to sign in with (Steam/Valve, Blizzard, Epic Games, Riot Games). These parties process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Braket, our users, or the public.
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

6. Cookies

We use a small set of first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and a preference cookie that remembers your chosen language. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Data retention

We keep account and tournament data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and maintain the historical record of competitions. Technical logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging. You may request deletion of your account as described below.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@braket.gg. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

9. International data transfers

Braket is hosted in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
